OSU Experience

TRIO Student Support Services (SSS) helps first-generation college students and other students who would benefit from additional support make the transition to college. TRiO-SSS offers academic guidance, professional development, peer mentorship, technology access, student success seminars and additional services. The Writing Center offers four programs in support of Oregon State University student writing: The Undergrad Research & Writing Studio, The Graduate Writing Center, The Online Writing Suite and English Language Learning. Our peer writing tutors can help with all aspects of the writing process from brainstorming and organization to questions of grammar and usage. 

University Exploratory Studies Program (UESP) is the academic home for students who are exploring their options before deciding on a major. UESP offers a comprehensive range of services to help students make informed decisions about their academic coursework and potential majors. UESP also serves Ecampus students.

The Educational Opportunities Program provides a welcoming environment that supports the full development of the personal and academic potential of students who have traditionally been denied equal access to higher education. EOP services include personalized advising with EOP counselors, tutoring services and assistance through the admissions process and locating financial resources.

Disability Access Services facilitates access to university programs and services for students with disabilities through accommodations, education, consultation and advocacy. DAS provides support to all Oregon State University students, including on- and off-campus students and students at OSU-Cascades.

Academic Learning Services offers 2-3 credit courses designed to help you acquire confidence and foundational skills necessary for success in the university environment. Earn credit toward graduation while engaging in active learning and reflection to help you on your path to a degree and post-graduation success.

Advisors are here to support you on your academic path. They are partners as you make important educational decisions, they can help you find service learning and other experiential learning opportunities, and they work to ensure you are meeting program and university graduation requirements.
