Undergraduate Research, Scholarship & the Arts (URSA) facilitates undergraduate engagement in scholarly and creative independent projects mentored by faculty in all disciplines.
The Supplemental Instruction (SI) program offers peer-led, group study tables for challenging courses. SI is free and available to all students registered for the course. A list of supported courses and study table times is available on the website.
A student who is undecided on a major of study is considered an exploratory student, and part of the University Exploratory Studies Program. Whether you are a freshman trying to understand what path you should follow or a returning student changing career goals, exploring is the key to finding your major. The Mathematics & Statistics Learning Center offers free, drop-in tutoring and resources such as textbooks, solution manuals, graphing calculators and a computer classroom.
The Learning Corner is the Academic Success Center’s online resource that provides strategies and tips to help you maximize your learning and success. It also includes the science to support why these strategies and tips work.
The Honors College encourages curiosity and rewards creativity. Small, interactive classes, typically limited to 12 or 20 students, are taught by the university’s top professors. Your experience will also go beyond the classroom, with opportunities to engage in hands-on learning, research and a senior thesis project in the topic of your choice. This is one of only a handful of degree-granting honors colleges in the United States.
The Educational Opportunities Program provides a welcoming environment that supports the full development of the personal and academic potential of students who have traditionally been denied equal access to higher education. EOP services include personalized advising with EOP counselors, tutoring services and assistance through the admissions process and locating financial resources.
