ASC strategists want to support you on your path to academic success. We know that OSU has a lot of resources to support students, but that sometimes it can be hard to know what you're looking for or where to find it. ASC strategists are here for remote consults to help you find what you need. In addition to identifying resources, strategists can help you form successful study groups, introduce learning and study tools and assist as you get ready for midterms and finals.

The Social Justice minor provides interdisciplinary academic classes in which students think critically about social justice and experiential learning activities that engage students in the work of social justice. The program addresses local, national and international issues. 

Students in the Ethnic Studies program engage in a critical, multidisciplinary investigation of the intersections of race, gender, ethnicity and sexuality. They focus on the articulated concerns of four racialized ethnic groups in the United States — Native Americans, African Americans, Asian Americans and Chicanos/Latin@s. Women, Gender and Sexuality Studies place women's concerns, gender analysis and the LGBTQ+ experience at the center of academic study. Our courses examine a wide range of topics from multidisciplinary perspectives recognizing that gender and sexuality intersect with other categories of identity and experience. We encourage community involvement and activism, and our students engage in internships with social change agencies and organizations. Check out the library resources related to these studies.

The Oregon Multicultural Archives helps preserve the histories and share the stories that document Oregon's African American, Asian American, Latino/a and Native American communities. The diverse collections reflect how these communities have contributed to the identity of the state of Oregon. The OMA is part of the Oregon State University Special Collections and Archives Researcher Center.

A minor in leadership will help you make the most of your personal and professional life.
Whether it's landing your dream job, volunteering in your community or accomplishing another goal. The minor is designed to provide the most beneficial educational experience possible, and it's open to every student on campus, regardless of major, department or college affiliation. With diverse coursework and experiential learning opportunities, including internships that can be incorporated into your primary degree program, the leadership minor will prepare you to take initiative and create change specific to your interests and passions.

Difference, Power and Discrimination courses engage students in the intellectual examination of the complex structures, systems and ideologies that sustain discrimination and the unequal distribution of power and resources in society.
