Winter 2016 — The Ettihad Cultural Center (ECC), OSU’s newest cultural resource center on campus, has a special meaning behind its name. The term “ettihad” was selected to represent the center because of its symbolic meaning of unity or alliance and its presence in several different languages from the regions it represents. The ECC is a resource for students whose ethnic or cultural backgrounds are rooted in central and southwestern Asia and northern Africa, and operates as a unifying space for all students to connect with and to explore these cultures. As a cross-cultural resource center, the ECC serves our domestic and international student populations’ needs and brings greater cultural awareness to OSU. Global Story
